Ending Two
This was the last memory I have of the following week, in which I didn't sleep one minute, after which I woke up under a tree far from the city, in a place far more beautiful than any I had ever dreamed of.
There are green patches, yellow patches, a large patch of red, and on the back of my jacket, a pair of hummingbirds woven in the traditional Incan style. My old suit is more Peru than Chicago now, and sweet Dr. Aslet and I have been rambling llamaback on this countryside for twenty years now. When we get to our vista I will show you the leather engravings he has done on this beautiful saddle. There it is, there's the Brazil Nut tree where they sent us after that crazy week! I love alien technology, the speed, the instantaneousness of it, and I love being exiled to the beautiful Andes. When I found them out, the aliens shipped me and Dr. Aslet out of the black tower and into these rural highlands. Nobody needs to plan out the expansion of IBM, at least no human ever will, because the aliens have it all taken care of. We have nothing to worry about but beauty.
